Happy Monday! Today’s card was totally inspired by the Royal Wedding! The Stamp & Create Product Spotlight this week is “Royal Fairytale”. Love it! I knew right away which stamp I would use and decided to try out one of the new side step cards that I have been seeing. I did find a tutorial but the resulting card was too small so I ended up figuring out my own dimensions. My card measures 5”x6”. I will post the instructions later on once I have some extra time :)
I used Sweet November Princess Ilyse for my side step-card. I colored her with copic and then added some shimmerz to her dress and glitter to her over coat. Then I went over the cuffs with my Sakura glitter pen. The paper is from a DCWV paper pad that I have had for ages. The sentiment is my Technique Tuesdays and I embossed it on some vellum with black powder. I added some little frames that I made with a Cuttlebug die and one simple Prima flower and a sweet double heart charm.
Here is a close-up of the Princess:
Here is a side-view of the card. The base was made with some MS patterned paper. I really like the pattern showing on the inside.
Thanks for stopping by. Hope you like my little card inspired by the Royal Wedding. To celebrate, all “Royal” stamps will be on sale this week! Hurry and make sure your favorites don’t sell out. That is what always happens to me :) Also, since it is the beginning of a new month, we have a new challenge: Charms!
