Heartfelt Thank-you

Happy Friday! I have had a hectic week and I can hardly believe it is once again Friday. I have hardly posted at all this week but today I do have two cards to show you :)

2011 - Page 020

This week at Friday Sketchers, it is the magical Bea’s turn to create a sketch for us. I always look forward to Bea’s sketches because they really make me think:)

I pulled out some of this paper from MME La Paperie stack that I have had for awhile now. I liked this golden yellow paper so much that I decided to use it.(Not my usual color choice)  I colored up Tilda’s dress to match and added a little W1 to give it a more vintage feel.

The sentiment is Stampin’ Up and I used Papertrey dies to cut it and the scalloped mat out. The baker’s twine is Papertrey as well. The gorgeous butterfly charm is from Katharina, the flowers were from Jacque and the silk ribbon is from Stamp & Create.

I used my new little sewing machine (I am sooo happy I bought it) to machine stitch a couple of the panels.

Be sure to check out all the samples that my fellow DT sisters have created for your inspiration.

Bea, Bev, Claudia, Tanja, Jacque, Janneke, Jorunn

We hope  you will be able to play along and post your own creation on the Friday Sketcher blog . Our sponsor this week is the fabulous Pink Cat Studio.

This week over at the Wags ‘n Whiskers challenge, we are to use punches on our projects.

 2011 - Page 022

I created a Criss-Cross pocket card. (you can find my video tutorial by clicking on the tabs at the top of my blog). I used Stampin’ up punches to create this continuous border. The tabs at the top were also created with a Stampin’ Up punch. I simply folded it in half and added a brad.

I used “Nichola” one of the gorgeous Wags fairy images that you can find ~here~

Hope you can join in our challenge this week and don’t forget to visit the blog to see the stunning cards that the rest of the team has created!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a lovely week-end! It has turned so mild here that our snow is melting at a tremendous rate… I may have to craft us an ark! LOL!
