Double Challenge Friday!

Happy Friday! I am so happy that the weekend is almost here! We have lots of fun family activities planned and tonight my hubby is taking me to see one of my favorite bands “Great Big Sea”! I am beyond excited!

My first card is for the Friday Sketchers Challenge which my sweet friend Tanja is hosting. She has a really creative sketch for us this week. Here is my take:

Whiff of Joy 2010 - Page 179

I have used one of the new Magnolia Christmas image and instead of using the circle in the sketch, I have cut her out so that she looks like she is standing beside a Christmas tree!

Be sure to check out all the samples that my fellow DT sisters have created for your inspiration.

Aud, Bea, Claudia, Tanja, Jacque, Janneke, Jorunn Inge

We hope  you will be able to play along and post your own creation on the Friday Sketcher blog. We have quite a nice prize this week from our lovely sponsor:

My next card is for the Wags ‘n Whiskers Challenge which is “snowflakes”. I decided to use this sweet ballerina: Tiny Dancer. Perhaps she is practicing for her part in the Nutcracker Suite?

Here is the outside of the card. I used a Spellbinders die to cut out the snowflake shape.

and here is the inside:

The frame was created using my new Silhouette machine.

I hope that you will find some time to join us in our snowflake challenge this week!

Thanks for taking the time to stop by today!

What great cards! I especially love the WnW one. What a cute idea!! I think I used this image for a Christmas card sometime this year as well. I do associate it with the Nutcracker ballet. Ansley and I are going to a local presentation of the Nutcracker ballet next saturday!! It's a girl's day out! My mom used to take my sister and I every few years when we were kids. And each year we watched it on TV while putting up the Christmas tree!! I took Ansley a few years ago. She was a little young to sit through it, but I think she will do better this year. She will also get to wear one of her "fancy dresses" so that alone will make her happy!! :-)
