Sweet ‘n Sassy May Round Up

May Round Up

This is my second post for today! My card for the Friday Sketcher’s Challenge is one post below! Right now I am showing you what I made for the Sweet ‘n Sassy May Round Up. This month we are all showcasing Summer Sets. It is just around the corner…and SNSS is offering some pretty nice deals on these fun sets.

For this month's Round Up, I wanted to showcase the Holiday Road stamp set. Family Road-trips can be long and my Mum & Dad always tried to have little activities for my sister and I so that we wouldn't be too bored (or too annoying!) Rie, if you are reading this….do you remember “THE LINE” that we had that divided the backseat into my place and yours! LOL! I try to do the same with my children and am always trying to think of new activities that will make the trip fun.

I made a little paper back-pack from a tutorial I found on here on Split-coasters and decorated it with some of the Holiday Road stamps. Then I created little cards that I can slip inside using more the of stamps. On the flip side, I will write some text that will pertain to our next road trip. Things like important landmarks to look out for, where we are heading to and planned activities....you get the gist! So the kids can take turns opening their own little back-packs and read to us. And just to cover all bases, I think I will slip some candies in there as well!

  • Stamps: Sweet ‘n Sassy Holiday Road
  • Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Paper: SU Certainly Celery, Tempting Turquoise, Only Orange
  • Coloring: Copic Markers, Stickles, Liquid Applique on the mountain tops
  • Embellies: SU Ribbon, Making Memories Brads & Magnets

My fellow Sassy Sisters have all created some pretty amazing cards and projects so hop on over to the SNSS blog for a little Summer Inspiration.

The current DT term is almost over. The months have just whizzed by and now it is almost time for the Junior Team to leave. Korin is holding a Design Team Call for the next 6 month term which will start July 1st. I can only add that Korin is a lovely, warm person whose extreme kindness and support make serving on her team a tremendous pleasure. If you are interested in applying for a DT position please go here for the specifics!

Have a good day everyone! I thank you for persevering through another long posting! I have so much to tell you all!
