CPS Sketch Challenge & SNSS DT Monday

This sketch is from Card Postioning Sketches which is celebrating an anniversay and Sweet 'n Sassy is sponsoring this amazing prize.

So, if you want a chance to win this stamp set., head on over to CPS! Don't forget to visit my Sweet 'n Sassy Sistahs to see what they came up with. I can tell you, we were all sharing sneak peeks with each other this week-end and they all did fabulous jobs! Here is the link to our blog and you can find all their individual links on my side-bar.

I used some of the stamps in the Chocoholic Set. (I just noticed it is on sale right now)I stamped the chocolate image 3 times and then did a paper tole technique. So basically I colored the images and then cut them out. Then I layered them but each time omitting one chocoate. In the end, the middle chocolate is 3 layers high. I also added a little pearl accents on one to imitate icing and added some sparkle with my Sakura gelly roll pen.
  • Stamps: Sweet 'n Sassy Chocoholic
  • Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black and Chocolate
  • Paper: Chocloate Cip, Red Riding Hood, Bella Rose
  • Coloring; Copic Markers
  • Embellies: Red Riding Hood Taffeta Ribbon.

Hope you all had a great week-end! I had a great one! Spent lots of time with the family. My middle son was in his first novice hockey tournament and won all his games! He was esctatic! They really go to town at these tournaments and the little guys feel like the are NHL Hockey Superstars. It is so cute and wonderful to see them so excited. Yesterday's game was a real nail bitter but they ended up scoring the winning goal 20 seconds before the end of the game! Then, my son was chosen as the MVP - Most Valuable Player - of the game! Was he proud! He received a back-pack with the tornament's logo on it and it was filled with hockey goodies. He is carrying it around with him wherever he goes. Must mention that he is 7 least this seem strange.

I did manage to get some super card making time as well...such a bonus. This is one of the cards I made. I have to say, I was somewhat stumped as to what to do with the sketch but now I really love this card. It is really clean and not fussy but has some cute little details.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!
