Winter Fun ~ A Spoonful of Sugar & Some Awards

Goodmorning Everyone! Hope you all had a good week-end! I am trying to get back into the swing of things and start partcipating in my favorite challenges again! This card is for the "A Spoonful of Sugar" challenge which this week is to use this sketch created by the super-talented Nikki. I used one of my Whimsy stamps from the January release. Doesn't he have the most adorable eyes. That's how my little one looks at me after he's been into something he shouldn't have. So hard to resist.

I was experimenting a little. I stamped the seal and then colored him in with OMS and Koh-i-noor pencils. I added whiskers and highlights with my Signo pen. Then I took out my nestie and using that to guide me, I cut away the bottom around his tail. Then I passed it through the Cuttlebug. Gives a nice effect. I then masked the image and airbrushed the background. While I was at it I also airbrushed 2 of the felt snowflakes. I am a little trigger happy with my airbrusher these days! LOL! If it can't move, I'll try to airbrush it!

  • Stamps: Whimsy January Release
  • Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black
  • Paper: SU! In-Colors, Ski-Slope DP
  • Coloring: OMS & Koh-i-noor pencils, Copic airbrusher
  • Embellies: May Arts Ribbon, SU! Felt snowflakes

I have been so lucky and have received a some awards from some of my talented friends. Please go and visit their beautiful blogs. You will be so inspired! It has taken me a little while to get organized so I am posting them all together and instead of choosing who to pass it along to, I would like to pass them along to all of you who visit here! I appreciate your support and kind words.

The very sweet Amanda from Scotspanda gave me this one:

Ruby
, Kathy each gave me this very chic one:

Heike passed this one along to me:

So you can see that I have been completely spoiled and feel very happy that these talented girls thought of me!

Have a great day and if anyone knows what is going on with our counters, please let me know. I've noticed that I'm not the only one whose counter is wonky!
